Estuaries of Western Australia facts for kids
The estuaries of Western Australia are special places where rivers meet the sea. They are also sometimes called inlets. These amazing natural areas are found all along the long coastline of Western Australia.
Western Australia's coastline can be split into three main parts: the south, the west, and the Kimberley region. You can find estuaries in all three of these areas. In the south west of Australia, the wetlands and estuaries are very similar. They share many of the same plants and animals.
