Eva Ras (born January 1, 1941) is a famous Serbian actress, writer, and painter. She is known for her many roles in films and TV shows. Eva is also a talented writer who has published many books.

About Eva Ras
Eva Ras was born in Subotica on January 1, 1941. She lived there and went to school until she was 18. Then, she moved to Belgrade to study acting and writing for plays (dramaturgy). She still lives in Belgrade today.
Eva has performed in theaters all over the former Yugoslavia and Serbia. You might have seen her in TV series by famous writers like Siniša Pavić and Dragoslav Lazić. She has also acted in many films directed by well-known filmmakers such as Dušan Makavejev and Emir Kusturica.
Eva's Books
Eva Ras is also a very active writer. She has published many collections of poems, like In the Good Old Days and Bed of Silver. She even took part in the Struga Poetry Evenings with her poems.
She has also written short stories and novels. Some of her popular novels include House for Sale and With Eve to Paradise. This last book talks about how no country should be blamed for bad leaders. Eva has published 13 books in total. Her stories often mix things that are imagined with things that are real.
Eva Ras was married to Radomir Stević Ras, who was a painter. He also started his own theater. Their daughter, Kruna Ras, was a Serbian writer who passed away in 1993.
Awards and Recognition
Eva Ras has received many awards for her amazing work. Critics have called her the "actress of the year." In Hungary, she won the Golden Butterfly award. This was given to her during a celebration of 100 years of film.
She also received the "Aleksandar Lifka" award in 2005 for her lifetime of work. The Yugoslav National Film Theatre gave her their "Great Seal" award.
In 2007, Eva Ras won the Golden Ring award for all her creative work. This award is given by the Feniks Publisher and Makedonija Prezent Foundation. She is also a member of the Mediterranean Academy 'Brothers Miladinovci'.
Eva has won several important awards for her books too. These include the "Woman’s Pen" for ...Cock on the Block... and "The Kočić Book" for House for Sale. She also won "The International Man Booker Peoples' Prize" in 2005 for her book Born Dead.
