Evelyn is a special area, or "ward," in the northern part of the Lewisham, a borough in London. It's unique because it's the only part of Lewisham that touches the famous River Thames! Evelyn is located in Deptford, a historic area on the south bank of the river. It shares its borders with other parts of London: New Cross in Lewisham to the south, Greenwich West in the Royal Borough of Greenwich to the east, Surrey Docks in the London Borough of Southwark to the northwest, and even across the river, the Millwall ward in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
