Evergreen, Ohio facts for kids
Evergreen is a small, unincorporated community located in Gallia County, Ohio, in the United States. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes or businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
A Glimpse into Evergreen's Past
Evergreen was officially planned and marked out on a map, a process called platting, in 1855. This means people started to organize the area for building homes and businesses. Later, in 1880, a post office was opened in Evergreen. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1927.
