Ewa Farna, born on August 12, 1993, is a popular pop-rock singer from the Czech Republic with Polish roots. She has released many successful albums in both Polish and Czech. Her music has earned her special awards, like platinum and gold certifications, in both countries. Ewa has also been a judge on famous TV talent shows, including Česko Slovenská SuperStar, the Polish X Factor, and the Polish Idol.

Ewa's Early Life
Ewa Farna was born in 1993 into a Polish family living in a village called Vendryně, near Třinec in the Czech Republic. She went to a Polish elementary school and later a Polish high school. From a young age, Ewa loved music and art. She spent five years attending art school and also went to a dance school. She even learned to play the piano when she was a child!
Ewa's Music Career
Ewa Farna first became famous by winning local talent shows in the Czech Republic and Poland in 2004 and 2005. A music producer named Lešek Wronka discovered her.
Her First Albums and Awards
In 2006, Ewa released her very first album, called Měls mě vůbec rád. That same year, she won the Discovery of the Year award at the Český slavík music awards in the Czech Republic. Her second album, Ticho, came out in 2007. It became very popular, reaching number two on the music charts in the Czech Republic. She also released a Polish version of her first album, named Sam na Sam, in 2007.
In 2008, Ewa released a concert DVD called Blíž ke hvězdám. It became the best-selling music DVD in the Czech Republic that year! In 2009, the Polish version of her album Ticho was released, titled Cicho.
More Success and TV Appearances
Ewa's next album, Virtuální, was released in 2009. In 2010, her first Polish album, EWAkuacja, came out and won many awards, including the Viva Comet 2011.
When Ewa turned 18 in 2011, she celebrated with two special birthday concerts. One was in the Czech Republic, and the other in Poland. DVDs of these concerts were released so fans could enjoy them too! Also in 2011, she won the Album of the Year award at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole for her album Cicho. Her song "Cicho" also won the Polish Hit of the Summer award at the Sopot Hit Festival.
In 2013, Ewa released her album (W)Inna?. The title was a play on words, meaning both "guilty" and "different." In 2014, she released a Czech song called "Leporelo" with a music video. She also released a song named "Lešek" about her manager at the time. Ewa has continued to win awards, including Best Female Singer at Český slavík in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Ewa's Personal Life
Ewa Farna comes from a proud Polish family in the Trans-Olza region. Her father, Tadeusz, is a musician who plays in local Polish folk groups. Ewa has citizenship in both Poland and the Czech Republic. She has often said she feels "as a proud Pole." She actively supports the rights of the Polish minority in the Czech Republic. In 2008, she received an award called Srebrne Spinki for her musical achievements and for promoting the Polish community in her region.
In 2012, Ewa had a minor car accident. She was very tired after studying hard for her final exams and fell asleep while driving. Luckily, she only had small scratches and was okay.
In 2017, Ewa married her long-time partner, Martin Chobot. They have two children and live together in Prague.
