Eyal Golan (born Eyal Bitton on April 12, 1971) is a famous Israeli singer. He is known for his unique style that mixes pop music with Mizrahi music, a type of music popular in Israel with roots in Middle Eastern and North African Jewish communities. He is considered one of the most successful and popular singers in his country's history.

Early Life and Family

Eyal Golan was born in Rehovot, Israel. His family has both Moroccan Jewish and Yemenite Jewish roots. His parents are Daniel "Dani" Bitton and Ronit Jamil. He grew up in a neighborhood called Kfar Marmorek in his hometown.

Music Career

Golan has been making music for many years and is a major star in Israel. He regularly performs for large audiences across the country and sometimes tours in other parts of the world.

Getting Started

Golan released his first album, Lehisha ba'Laila (which means A Whisper in the Night), in 1995. A year later, he released a recording of a live concert where he sang popular songs.

Working with Ethnix

In 1996, Golan started working with a popular Israeli band called Ethnix. The band was known for mixing modern music with traditional Middle Eastern sounds. Their teamwork was very successful and lasted until the year 2000.
