Moshe Haim Peretz (Hebrew: משה פרץ) is a famous Israeli pop singer, songwriter, and composer. He was born on May 10, 1983. Since 2013, Moshe Peretz has also been a judge on the TV show The X Factor Israel, helping new singers find their way.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Moshe Peretz grew up in Tiberias, Israel. His family has roots from Morocco and Iraq. From a young age, Moshe loved music.
When he was just 13, he started singing in a synagogue in Tiberias. This is where he also began to write his own songs.
At 18, Moshe joined the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as a soldier. During his time in the army, he sang a special song called "שיר המעלות" during a Yom Hazikaron ceremony. This is Israel's Memorial Day. People loved his singing, and he soon joined a military music band. He continued to write songs while serving in the army.
Moshe Peretz's Music Career
After finishing his army service, Moshe Peretz released his first album in 2005. It was called Mabit El Hamromim (meaning "Looking at the Heavens"). Over 10,000 copies of this album were sold in Israel!
His next album, Esh (meaning "Fire"), came out in 2007 and was even more popular. It sold 20,000 copies and earned a "gold" award. The song "Esh" became a big hit on Israeli radio.
In 2008, Moshe had a song called "Elaich" (meaning "You") that reached the top of the Israeli music charts. This song was part of his third album, also named Elaich, which sold over 40,000 copies and received a "platinum" award.
His fourth album, Me'ha'shamaim (meaning "From the Heavens"), released in 2010, was his most successful yet! It sold over 110,000 copies and earned a "double platinum" award. The song "שתיים בלילה" (meaning "2 o'clock") was a number one hit. Moshe went on a big tour to promote this album, performing at the famous Caesarea Music Festival.
In 2011, he released his fifth album, Zikukim (meaning "Fireworks"). This album also did very well, selling over 80,000 copies and getting a "double platinum" award.
Writing Songs for Others
Moshe Peretz is not only a singer but also a talented songwriter. He writes most of his own songs. He has also written songs for other famous Israeli artists. Some of these artists include Sarit Hadad, Shlomi Shabat, and Tamir Gal. He even worked with Dudu Aharon to write a song for Lior Narkis.
Moshe Peretz's Family Life
Moshe Peretz is married to Yarden Gozlan. Yarden is the sister of a footballer named Shoval Gozlan. Moshe and Yarden live in Be'er Ya'akov, Israel, in a special house that Moshe helped design. The house even has a professional recording studio in the basement!
Moshe and Yarden have three children. Their daughter, Michaela, was born in November 2014. In June 2016, they welcomed twins, a boy named Noam and another boy named Guy.
