Eye of the Dolphin is a 2007 American drama film. It was written by Wendell Morris and Michael Sellers. Michael Sellers also directed the movie. The film stars Carly Schroeder, Adrian Dunbar, George Harris, Katharine Ross, and Christine Adams.
A sequel to this film, called Beneath the Blue, was released in 2010. It stars Paul Wesley and Caitlin Wachs.

About the Story: A Girl and Dolphins
The movie tells the story of Alyssa (Carly Schroeder). She is a fourteen-year-old girl. Alyssa has been living with her grandmother Lucy (Katharine Ross) for a year. This was after her mother passed away.
Alyssa's New Home in the Bahamas
After getting into some trouble at school, Alyssa goes to the Bahamas. She goes to live with her father, Hawk (Adrian Dunbar). She had never met him before. Hawk is a scientist who studies dolphins.
Challenges for Hawk and Alyssa
Alyssa's arrival is not easy for Hawk. He has a difficult personality. This causes problems with local leaders. These leaders want good relationships with tourists. At first, Alyssa and her father struggle to get along. But Tamika (Christine Adams), Hawk's girlfriend, helps them. Daniel (George Harris), Tamika's father, also helps.
Discovering a Special Gift
Alyssa soon gets used to island life. She finds out she has a special gift. She can communicate with dolphins, just like her father. This leads her to form a strong bond with a wild dolphin. Her father, as a scientist, cannot fully approve of this.
Saving the Research Station
Later, people in power threaten to close Hawk's research station. This is where Alyssa and her wild dolphin friend become very important. They hold the key to solving the problem. They can help bring everyone together.
