Fair Oaks is a small town in the state of Oklahoma, USA. It is located across two counties: Rogers and Wagoner. In 2020, about 73 people lived there. Fair Oaks is considered a suburb of the larger city of Tulsa.
History of Fair Oaks
Fair Oaks became an official town in 1966. It was started by L. S. Robson, who owned a big ranch nearby. At first, the town was quite small, covering about 200 acres and having only 20 residents.
A few years later, in 1969, Fair Oaks grew a lot, adding 15,000 acres. By 1980, many people who worked in Tulsa chose to live in Fair Oaks. The town's population grew to 324 people.
The number of people living in Fair Oaks reached its highest point in 1990, with 1,133 residents. Later, the Robson family, who still owned much of the land, agreed for Fair Oaks and the rest of their ranch to become part of Tulsa.
