The Fairmont San Jose is a large, fancy hotel in San Jose, California. It has 805 rooms and is located right in Downtown San Jose. You can find it next to the Plaza de César Chávez. It's known as an AAA Four-Diamond hotel. This means it's a really nice place to stay!
About the Hotel

The Fairmont San Jose is a tall building. It has a cool swimming pool on its roof. The rooftop also has a special deck for relaxing. There's even a windscreen to make the area comfy for sunbathing. This helps create a nice, warm spot for swimmers. They even used computers to plan the best airflow for the rooftop! You can also find an indoor bar area up there.
Hotel Buildings
The hotel is made of two main parts. The first part, called the Tower, opened in 1987. It has 22 floors and 500 rooms. The second part is a 13-story building called the Annex. It opened in 2002 and has 264 rooms.
The Annex was built where an old hotel, the Hotel Montgomery, used to stand. But don't worry, the old hotel wasn't torn down! It was carefully moved about 57 meters (187 feet) south. Then, it was restored and became the Four Points by Sheraton San Jose Downtown hotel. Moving and fixing up the old hotel cost about $8.5 million.
