Mohammad Faisal Hussain Khan, born on August 3, 1966, is an Indian actor. He has acted in many Hindi films. He is well-known for his role as Shankar Shane in the movie Mela.

Faisal Khan's Family
Faisal Khan is the son of a film producer named Tahir Hussain. His brother is the famous actor, director, and producer Aamir Khan. Faisal also has two sisters, Nikhat Khan, who is a producer and actor, and Farhat Khan.
His uncle, Nasir Hussain, was also a film producer and director. Faisal's nephew, Imran Khan, used to be an actor. His cousin, Tariq Khan, was an actor in the 1970s and 1980s. Faisal is also a great-grand nephew of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a very important leader from India's history.
Faisal Khan's Acting Journey
Faisal Khan first appeared in a film when he was just three years old. This was in his uncle Nasir Hussain's 1969 movie Pyar Ka Mausam. He played the younger version of the character played by Shashi Kapoor.
Early Roles and First Lead Role
In 1988, Faisal got his first adult role. He played a small villain role in his brother Aamir's film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He also worked behind the scenes as an assistant director for his father's 1990 film Tum Mere Ho. His brother Aamir was the main actor in that movie.
Faisal's first main role was in the 1994 film Madhosh. His father produced this movie, and Vikram Bhatt directed it. However, the film did not do well at the box office. After this, Faisal took a break from acting for five years.
Comeback and Later Work
In 2000, Faisal returned to films. He starred alongside his brother Aamir in the movie Mela. Even though this film also didn't do well, the director, Dharmesh Darshan, praised Faisal's acting.
After Mela, Faisal appeared in several other films. From 2003 to 2004, he was part of a TV show called Aandhi. After his 2005 film Chand Bujh Gaya, he took another long break from acting for ten years.
Recent Projects
In 2015, it was announced that Faisal would return to acting in a film called Chinar Daastaan-E-Ishq. In 2017, he starred in Danger, a horror film. This movie has not been released yet.
In 2021, Faisal Khan made his first movie as a director. He also acted in this psychological thriller film, Faactory. He even sang a song for the movie! In 2022, he acted in his first Kannada language movie, Oppanda.
Faisal Khan's Personal Life
In 2007, Faisal Khan was reported missing for two days. He had previously told the police that his brother Aamir was keeping him at home. Faisal was later found in Pune and brought back to Mumbai for a medical check-up. Faisal's father, Tahir, was given his custody.
