Alessandro Rosa Vieira (born June 8, 1977), better known as Falcão, is a Brazilian retired professional futsal player. Many people think he is the greatest futsal player ever. He is famous for his amazing dribbling skills and a powerful left foot. Falcão holds the record for the most goals scored in men's international futsal matches.
He was named the Best Futsal Player in the World four times (in 2004, 2006, 2011, and 2012). He also won the Golden Shoe at the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Cup and the Golden Ball twice, in 2004 and 2008. Today, Falcão shares his futsal knowledge on YouTube. He teaches tricks and shows different parts of futsal culture. His YouTube channel has over 1 million subscribers!

Falcão's Amazing Futsal Journey
Falcão started playing futsal at age 13 with the Guarapira club. He joined Corinthians in 1993 and became a professional player in 1994. After playing for several teams, he joined Jaraguá in 2003. Later, from 2013 to 2018, he played for Sorocaba.
Playing for Top Clubs
Falcão played for many well-known futsal clubs throughout his career. He often moved between teams, showing his skill wherever he went. In 2015, he even joined Nottingham Forest's futsal team for a special tournament in Kuwait. He also played for the Indian team Chennai 5s, scoring five goals in a tournament.
A Short Try at Football
In 2005, Falcão tried playing regular 11-a-side football with São Paulo Futebol Clube. He even played in the 2005 Copa Libertadores, which is a big football tournament. But he soon returned to futsal, where he truly shined.
Falcão's International Success
Falcão played for the Brazil national futsal team for many years. He scored an incredible 401 goals in 258 games for his country. He helped Brazil win the FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2008 and 2012.
World Cup Highlights
At the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, FIFA recognized him as the Best Player. In 2016, Falcão retired from the national team. Even though Brazil was eliminated early that year, he scored 10 goals. This made him the all-time top goalscorer in FIFA Futsal World Cup history, with 48 goals! Many experts and players agree that Falcão is the greatest futsal player ever.
