Falset is a charming village located in Catalonia, a region in Spain. It is the main village of an area called the Priorat. Falset is especially famous for its delicious wine.
This village is home to an old castle and two grand palaces. These palaces are known as Medinacelli and Azahara. Falset is found about 30 kilometers (about 18 miles) from the coast, inland from a town called Salou. You can reach it by following the N420 road.
Falset's Famous Winery
One of the most important places in Falset is its old winery. This building is very special. It is even known in Catalonia as one of the "Wine Cathedrals."
A Special Building Style
The winery was built in a unique style. This style combines two art movements: Modernisme and Noucentisme. A famous architect named Cèsar Martinell designed this beautiful building.
