Daniels is a small town located in Burnett County, which is in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, about 649 people lived there. A small community called Falun is also part of the town of Daniels.

History of Daniels

The town of Daniels was first called Wood Lake. In 1906, its name was changed to honor Daniel Johnson. He was an important leader in the town during its early days.

Geography of Daniels

Daniels is in the southern part of Burnett County. It shares a border with Polk County to the south. The town covers a total area of about 92.6 square kilometers. Most of this area, about 87.3 square kilometers, is land. The rest, about 5.4 square kilometers, is water.

There are at least 12 lakes that are either fully or partly within the town. The biggest lake is Mud Hen Lake. It is located west of the town's center and east of the Falun community.

People Living in Daniels

Based on information from the year 2000, there were 665 people living in Daniels. These people lived in 280 households, and 204 of these were families.

Most of the people in Daniels were White. A small number of people were Native American, Asian, or from other backgrounds.

In terms of age, about one-fifth of the population was under 18 years old. About another one-fifth was 65 years or older. The average age in the town was 45 years.
