Farscape facts for kids
Farscape is an exciting science fiction television show. It was made in Australia. The show first aired from 1999 to 2004. It ran for four seasons. The story ended with a big mystery, called a cliffhanger. This mystery was solved later in a special miniseries called The Peacekeeper Wars in 2004.
The idea for Farscape came from Rockne S. O'Bannon. Jim Henson Productions helped create the show. Hallmark Entertainment also produced it.
The Story of Farscape
The main character in Farscape is an astronaut named John Crichton. One day, John accidentally flies his spaceship into a wormhole. This wormhole takes him to a very far-off part of the universe.
John finds himself on a living spaceship. This ship is called Moya. On Moya, he meets a group of aliens. These aliens are all escaped prisoners. John joins their crew. Together, they try to escape from a group called the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers are a powerful military force. John and his new alien friends have many exciting adventures. They explore strange new planets and face many dangers.
