Fatemeh Javadi (Persian: فاطمه جوادی) was born in 1959. She is an Iranian politician who holds conservative views. From 2005 to 2009, she served as the Vice President of Iran. She is also the niece of a well-known religious leader, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.

Education and Teaching
Fatemeh Javadi studied geology and earned a special degree called a doctorate in this field. Today, she shares her knowledge by teaching at the University of Shiraz. This university is located in southern Iran.
Political Career and Goals
After Mahmoud Ahmadinejad became the President of Iran, Fatemeh Javadi was chosen for an important role. She became a Vice President and also the head of the Department of the Environment (DoE). Before her, Masoumeh Ebtekar held this position.
Leading Environmental Protection
As the head of the DoE, Fatemeh Javadi's main job was to look after Iran's state Environmental Protection Organization. This organization works to keep the country's nature and wildlife safe. She was one of only two women in the president's group of top advisors, known as the cabinet.
Plans for the Environment
Javadi shared some of her ideas for protecting the environment. She wanted to make sure everyone understood the importance of caring for nature. Her plans included:
- Teaching people about environmental protection.
- Helping the public learn more about how to protect the environment for the future.
- Offering environmental classes from kindergarten all the way to universities.
- Encouraging more research into environmental issues.
Animal Welfare Concerns
In 2007, Javadi helped organize a circus in Pardisan Park in Tehran. However, some groups and activists in Iran were concerned. They criticized the circus because they felt the animals were not treated well.
End of Term
When President Ahmadinejad was re-elected in 2009, Fatemeh Javadi's time as Vice President ended. She was then replaced by Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh.
