Nasrin Soltankhah (Persian: نسرین سلطانخواه) is an Iranian politician. She served as a Vice President under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from 2009 to 2013.

Education and Early Life
Nasrin Soltankhah was born in Tehran, Iran, on April 10, 1963. She studied Mathematics at Sharif University of Technology. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. Later, she completed her Master of Science in 1978. In 1994, she received her PhD in Mathematics.
Political Career
Working in the Cabinet
On September 25, 2005, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appointed Nasrin Soltankhah to the Iranian Cabinet. She also led Iran's National Elites Foundation. This foundation helps support talented people in Iran.
Focus on Women and Families
Nasrin Soltankhah also served as the head of the Center for Women and Family Affairs. This center works on important issues for women. She also advised the President on topics related to women.
Soltankhah focused on three main goals for women's policies. First, she wanted to make sure women were treated with respect. Second, she aimed to use women's skills in leadership roles. Third, she highlighted the important role women play in families. She also worked to create job opportunities for women.
Serving on the City Council
Besides her work in the national government, Nasrin Soltankhah was a member of the City Council of Tehran. She won a seat on the council in 2003. Her term on the City Council ended in 2007.
