Fatma Moalla (born January 14, 1939) is a famous mathematician from Tunisia. She studied special types of geometry called Finsler spaces. She also worked as an assistant at a science university. An important award for making math popular is named after her. It is called the International Fatma Moalla Award.

Fatma Moalla was born in Tunis, Tunisia. Her birthday is January 14, 1939. Her father, Mohamed Moalla, worked by selling books.
She went to secondary school at Lycée de la Rue du Pacha. In 1956, she moved to Lycée Carnot of Tunis. There, she decided to focus on Mathematics.
University Studies
Fatma Moalla then went to university. She studied at the Institut des Hautes Études de Tunis. She earned her mathematics degree in June 1960.
She made history in France in 1961. She was the first Tunisian to receive the Agrégation in Mathematics. This is a very high teaching qualification. In 1965, she became the first Tunisian woman to earn a doctorate in Mathematics in France.
