Fay is a small, quiet community in Oklahoma, United States. It's not a big city but a rural village located in the southeastern part of Dewey County. You can find it right on State Highway 33. Even though it's small, Fay has a few important places. There's a grainery, which is a place to store grain from farms. There's also a small convenience store for everyday needs and a community hall with an auditorium where people can gather. Interestingly, the main office for Indian Records Inc. is also located here.
History of Fay
Fay started as a community along the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway line. The first post office in Fay opened on April 19, 1894. The community was named after Fay Fisco, who was the son of the very first postmaster.
