About Felicia Mason
Felicia Mason grew up in Pennsylvania. Later, her family moved to Virginia. She went to college at Hampton Institute, getting a degree in mass media arts in 1984. She also earned a master's degree from Ohio State University. Before she became a full-time writer, she worked as an editor for a newspaper called the Daily Press in Newport News. Today, she lives in Yorktown, Virginia.
Awards and Recognition
Felicia Mason has won several awards for her writing. In 1995, her books received Reviewers Choice Awards for being the best contemporary ethnic novels from Romantic Times and Affaire de Coeur.
In 2001, she won the Emma Award for her work on Della's House of Style. Readers also chose her as one of the top 10 romance authors in 2002 for her book Body and Soul. The Black Issues Book Review named her the best romance writer to cross over into mainstream writing in 2002, thanks to her novel Testimony.
