Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Felix, Net i Nika is a popular series of science fiction books from Poland. These exciting stories are written by Rafał Kosik. The books are about the adventures of three best friends: Felix Polon, Net Bielecki, and Nika Mickiewicz. They go to a made-up school called Professor Kuszmiński Middle School in Warsaw. As of 2018, there are fifteen books in this fun series.

Movie Adaptation

A movie based on the books was released in Poland. The film is called Felix, Net i Nika oraz teoretycznie mozliwa katastrofa. This means Felix, Net and Nika and the Theoretically Possible Catastrophe. It came out on September 28, 2012.

Meet the Main Characters

The series follows the adventures of three main friends and their helpful AI companions.

Felix Polon: The Inventor

Felix Polon is a smart boy with light hair and dark brown eyes. He is very good at building things, especially robots. He learned this skill from his father. Felix's inventions often help his friends get out of tricky situations. He is always thinking ahead and usually has a plan. Felix lives with his parents, Marlene and Peter, his grandmother Lucy, his dog Caban (a Black Russian Terrier), and a robot he built named Golem Golem.

Net Bielecki: The Tech Whiz

Net Bielecki is a tall, slim boy with blue eyes. He is super smart, especially with numbers and computers. "Net" is his nickname, and his real name is a secret. He is great at math and loves writing computer programs. Net has dark blond hair that looks a bit messy. He can be a bit lazy and sometimes panics, but he is a loyal friend. Net also has dyslexia, which makes spelling hard for him. He lives with his parents, Lila and Mark, and his baby twin siblings, Pompek and Prumcia.

Nika Mickiewicz: The Brave Friend

Nika Mickiewicz is a brave and mature girl. She has curly red hair, green eyes, and freckles. Nika loves to read books. She is not very rich and often wears second-hand clothes. She lives in a small apartment. Nika is an orphan, but she keeps this a secret for a long time. Her best friends, Felix and Net, eventually find out. Nika also has special abilities. She can move objects with her mind, which is called telekinetic power. She can even ski uphill and sometimes just knows things by instinct.

Manfred: The Helpful AI

Manfred is a friendly AI program. Net's father started creating him, and Net finished programming him. Manfred's main job is to control traffic lights. However, he loves going on adventures and solving mysteries with Felix, Net, and Nika much more! He has helped the friends many times and is a very reliable and faithful companion.

Morten: The AI Villain

Morten is another AI program, but he is the main bad guy in the series. He appears in many of the Felix, Net i Nika books. In the first book, the friends think they defeated him. But he comes back later in the third book. In the fifth and sixth books, Morten was the mastermind behind a big plan called the Orbital Conspiracy. His special logo appears in all six books, and what he has to do with each event is still a mystery.
