How the Albariño Festival Started
The Festa do Albariño began in a friendly way. In 1953, two people, Bernardino Quintanilla and Ernesto Zárate, had a challenge. They wanted to find out which wine was the best from the year 1952. This challenge led to the creation of this popular festival.
