The First Fiat Croma (1985-1996)
The first Fiat Croma was introduced in 1985. It was a large family car, often called a "sedan" or "hatchback" because of its shape. This car was part of a special project where several car companies worked together. It shared its basic structure with other cars like the Saab 9000 and the Lancia Thema.
Design Updates
In 1991, the Fiat Croma received a facelift. This means its look was updated with new lights, bumpers, and other small changes. These updates helped to keep the car looking modern and fresh for a few more years. Production of the first Croma ended in 1996.
The Second Fiat Croma (2005-2010)
After a break, Fiat brought back the Croma name in 2005. This new version was quite different from the first. It was designed more like a "crossover" car. This means it combined features of a regular car with some features of an SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle). It was taller and offered more space inside.
This second Croma was also built on a shared platform. It used parts from other cars, including some from General Motors. It was designed to be a comfortable and practical car for families. Production of the second Fiat Croma stopped in 2010.
