Finlay, Texas is a ghost town located in Hudspeth County, Texas, in the United States. It is about 17 miles (27 km) west of another town called Sierra Blanca. A ghost town is a place that used to have people living there, but now it's mostly empty or abandoned.

The Story of Finlay

Finlay was named after a person known as J.R. Finlay. This community slowly grew in the early 1900s.

Post Offices in Finlay

Finlay had two post offices during its history.

  • One post office was built in 1890, but it never actually opened for business.
  • The second post office was officially started in 1903.

Population Changes
