The national flag of Zimbabwe

The flag of Zimbabwe is a colorful symbol of the country's history and hopes. It has seven stripes that go across, with colors like green, gold, red, and black. On the left side, there's a white triangle. Inside this triangle, you'll see a red five-pointed star and a special bird called the Zimbabwe Bird.

Zimbabwe chose this flag on April 18, 1980. This was a very important day because it was when Zimbabwe became a free country, gaining independence from the United Kingdom. The flag's design is based on the flag of the Zimbabwe African National Union, which is the main political party in charge of the country today.
