Years ago, Flagg had its own post office. This was a place where people could send and receive mail. However, the Flagg post office closed down in 1917.
Later, in 1936, a railroad company called the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad had a station in Flagg. Railroad stations were important places for people to travel and for goods to be moved from one place to another.
