Flat Creek's Journey

Flat Creek begins its journey just east of the town of Burkeville. This area is in Nottoway County. From there, the creek flows north into Amelia County. It then turns and flows northeast. Finally, it joins the Appomattox River near a place called Coverly. This meeting point is about 28 miles (45 km) northwest of the city of Petersburg.
