A Museum in an Old Fire Station
This museum is found right in the heart of downtown Floral City. It's located inside what used to be a Fire Station building. The fire station closed its doors in January 2000.
The museum officially opened on December 4, 2009. At first, it was called the Heritage Museum & Country Store. It opened during the annual Floral City Heritage Days celebration.
What You Can See Inside
The museum has lots to explore! It includes two main areas called galleries, where you can see different exhibits. There's also a library and a media center, which are great for learning more. You can even find a small store inside.
In 2014, the museum was still growing. They were working on adding offices, storage areas, and a kitchen.
Planning Your Visit
The Floral City Heritage Hall Museum is usually open on Fridays and Saturdays. You can visit from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They also open for special events throughout the year.
You can find the museum on Orange Avenue. It's right next to the Community Building and the local library. It's also just one block east of U.S. Highway 41. The museum is managed by a group called the Floral City Heritage Council.
