The Flowerdown Barrows are ancient burial mounds found near Littleton, England. These special sites were built long, long ago during the Bronze Age. This was a time when people used bronze tools and weapons.

Discovering Flowerdown Barrows
Flowerdown Barrows is a fascinating place with three ancient burial mounds. These mounds are part of a much larger old cemetery. Two of them are called "bowl barrows." They look like upside-down bowls.
The third mound is a "disc barrow." This one is very special. Experts say it is "the finest in Hampshire." It looks like a flat, round disc with smaller mounds inside.
What the Barrows Look Like
The disc barrow is quite large. It measures about 28 meters (92 feet) across. Inside, it has two smaller circular mounds. One is about 7 meters (23 feet) wide, and the other is 6 meters (20 feet) wide. The larger mound is in the middle and has a dip in its center.
The bigger of the two bowl barrows is 20 meters (66 feet) across. It stands about 1 meter (3 feet) high. The other bowl barrow is smaller. It is 8 meters (26 feet) across and only about 0.3 meters (1 foot) high. This smaller one is very close to the edge of the disc barrow.
