Fly is a small place in Monroe County, Ohio, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Fly is located right next to the Ohio River. You can find it where two roads, Ohio Route 7 and Ohio State Route 800, meet.
What Makes Fly Special?
One of the coolest things about Fly is its connection to Sistersville, West Virginia. Sistersville is a city just across the Ohio River. To get there from Fly, you can take a special boat called the Sistersville Ferry. It's a fun way to travel across the water!
A Bit of History
Fly got its own post office way back in 1886. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office stayed open for a very long time, until 1995.
People say the community was named "Fly" because the residents wanted a short and easy name. It certainly is a unique name!
