How Did the Park Get Its Name?
This park was created over many years, starting in the 1950s. Land was bought and also given as gifts between 1954 and 1978 to form the park we see today. Both the park and the creek running through it are named after a person called John Fogarty. He used to be a judge in Lincoln County, where the park is located.
