Forest Green is a small place in Missouri, United States. It's not a city with its own government, but an unincorporated community located in southeastern Chariton County. You can find it about eight miles south of Salisbury, right on Route 5.

Forest Green was planned and built in 1873. A person named John Green Forest created the community. It's very likely that the place was named after him!
The Old Post Office
A post office opened in Forest Green in the same year, 1873. This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for a long time, until it closed its doors in 1979.
