Forreston's Story
Forreston was first planned out in 1854. It got its name because of the many forests that were close to where the town was built.
For a long time, Forreston was famous for its "Sauerkraut Days" festival. This event was very popular because many people in the town had German family backgrounds. Everyone could enjoy free food at this fun festival. Recently, "Sauerkraut Days" has started up again. It now happens in August and includes tasty food and a cool car show!
