Local schoolboys living in the area decided to turn this old helipad into a place where they could play sports. They worked together to make it a multipurpose sports field. The name "Floodstage Stadium" came from a funny problem the field had. There was a dip in the middle of the asphalt. This dip would often fill up with rainwater, creating a large puddle. This puddle inspired the creative name for their new stadium.
