Lake Size and Purpose

The reservoir can hold a lot of water. Its surface area is about 13,141 acres. The lake helps control river flows. It also provides water for nearby cities. These cities include Clinton, Cordell, Hobart, Butler, and Bessie. Water travels from the lake to these cities. It goes through about 50 miles (80 kilometers) of pipes and channels.
