In 2010, about 161 people lived there. By 2020, the population had grown to 246 residents. Foster has had a post office since August 12, 1891.

Where is Foster, Oklahoma?
Foster is in the southwestern part of Garvin County. It is connected by State Highway 29A, which is a smaller road off State Highway 29.
State Highway 29 runs along the northern edge of the town. You can travel east about 5 miles (8 km) to Elmore City. Going west on Highway 29 will take you about 18 miles (29 km) to Bray.
Another important road, State Highway 76, goes through the western part of Foster. If you head north on Highway 76, you'll reach Lindsay in about 19 miles (31 km). Traveling south for about 12 miles (19 km) will take you to Ratliff City.
Other nearby towns include Wynnewood, which is 21 miles (34 km) east. Pauls Valley, the main city of Garvin County, is about 22 miles (35 km) northeast.
