The top part of this 82-story building holds 157 homes. These homes are called the Four Seasons Private Residences New York Downtown. They have from one to six bedrooms. Building History: How It Was Built

The story of this building began in November 2006. A company called Silverstein Properties bought the land at 99 Church Street. This company also built the nearby World Trade Center. At that time, an 11-story office building was on the site.

In March 2007, Silverstein Properties shared their plans. They wanted to build a 60-story tower. This new building would have a hotel on the first 20 floors. A famous architect named Robert A. M. Stern was chosen to design it. In November 2007, they announced that construction would start in mid-2008. The old building was torn down to make way for the new one.

By January 2008, the design was even bigger. It became an 80-story, 912 feet (278 m) tall building. That's when it was announced that Four Seasons would run the hotel. The official address became 30 Park Place. However, there was a delay in March 2009. It was hard to get money for the project during a big financial problem.

Things picked up again in November 2010. Larry Silverstein announced that building would start in 2012. In May 2013, they got $660 million to build it. Tishman Construction helped manage the whole project. Construction began in the fall of 2013. The building reached its full height in early 2015. The outside walls and windows were finished by August 2015. The hotel had its grand opening on September 19, 2016. It was then the second tallest residential building in Downtown Manhattan.
