François Corbier (born Alain Roux, October 17, 1944 – July 1, 2018) was a famous French TV presenter and songwriter. He was best known for his work on popular children's TV shows like Club Dorothée.

Early Life and Beginnings

François Corbier was born as Alain Roux in 1944. His birthplace was the beautiful city of Paris, France.

Corbier started his career as a songwriter. From 1962 to 1982, he wrote songs for Parisian cabarets. Cabarets are places where people watch musical shows and performances.

Television Career

Corbier became a television presenter in 1982. He joined a show called Récré A2 on the TV channel Antenne 2. On this show, he worked with the popular singer and presenter Dorothée.

His most famous role was as a co-presenter on Club Dorothée. This show was on the TF1 channel from 1987 to 1997. Club Dorothée was a very popular children's program in France.

Music and Performances

Corbier wrote many songs during his career. One of his well-known songs was Le Nez de Dorothée, which he wrote in 1986. He also released several music albums. His album Vieux Lion came out in 2015.

In 2010, Corbier performed live with Dorothée. They had big concerts at famous venues in Paris. These included the Palais Bercy and the Olympia.
