Francesca Ekwuyasi was born in Lagos, Nigeria. Today, she lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Besides writing, Francesca is also a visual artist. In 2019, she had an art show in Halifax where she displayed amazing paper cutout artwork. She has also directed short documentary films, including Reconcile and Black & Belonging.
