Francesco Righetti was a talented architect from Switzerland. He is also known as Francisco Righetti in Spanish. He designed many important buildings, mostly in Argentina, where he lived for a long time.
Righetti is famous for his work on some of Argentina's most well-known buildings. His designs helped shape cities, especially in the Salta region.
Famous Buildings and Projects
Francesco Righetti worked on several important buildings and city plans. One of his most notable projects was the Legislative Palace in Salta. This is a very important building where laws are made.
He also helped build the tall bell towers of two churches:
- The San Francisco Church
- The Church of the Vine
These bell towers are among the highest in Argentina. A German architect named José Enrique Rauch designed them. Righetti was in charge of making sure they were built correctly.
Righetti also helped with the latest changes to the Cathedral of Salta. He also planned a public space called Plaza Güemes.
About His Life
Francesco Righetti was married to a woman named Josefa Ferrini. They had one daughter together, whose name was Albertina.
Righetti passed away in 1917. He died in the city of Rosario, which is in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina.
