Francine Carrel Saenz Diaz (born January 27, 2004) is a talented Filipino actress and model. She started her acting journey at just 10 years old. She became very well-known after playing Cassandra "Cassie" Mondragon in the TV series Kadenang Ginto. Francine has won several awards, including a Box Office Entertainment Awards and two Anak TV Awards. In 2022, Preview magazine recognized her as one of the most influential Filipino personalities.

About Francine's Early Life and School

Francine Diaz is the third of six children in her family. She has two older sisters, two younger sisters, and one younger brother. Her parents are Jesus Michael Diaz and Merdick Saenz.

She completed her senior high school education in 2024 at Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities.

Francine's Acting Career

Starting Out: 2014–2018

Francine began acting when she was 10 years old. She often played the younger versions of main characters in different TV shows on ABS-CBN. In 2014, she had a bigger role as young Ana Mauricio in an episode of Ipaglaban Mo called "Pagkilala sa Ama".

In 2015, she played Young Sari in the drama series Pasión de Amor. The next year, in 2016, she was young Pinang in Be My Lady and Anya in We Will Survive. She also played Ginny in the drama series The Blood Sisters.

Becoming Popular: 2018–2020

In 2018, Francine Diaz became a household name when she starred as Cassie Mondragon in the popular ABS-CBN TV series Kadenang Ginto. This show was a huge success!

Because of the show's popularity, a group called "The Gold Squad" was formed. It included Francine and her co-stars Kyle Echarri, Andrea Brillantes, and Seth Fedelin. This group of young actors appeared in many films and TV series together.

New Projects and "FranSeth": 2021–Present

In 2021, Francine played a main character in the TV series Huwag Kang Mangamba. She starred alongside her "Gold Squad" friends. The group also led a digital series called Click, Like, Share. Francine's episode was named "Cancelled."

She also appeared in the movie Tenement 66 with Francis Magundayao and Noel Comia Jr.. This was her first thriller film. It was shown at the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea. Her acting in Tenement 66 earned her an award for "Most Awesome Supporting Actress" at the 34th Gawad Pasado Awards.

Francine also showed off her modeling skills at Michael Leyva's fashion show in Pasay. She opened the show wearing a beautiful lilac gown.

In 2022, Francine was featured as the yearly cover girl for Metro magazine. She also appeared on the covers of Preview Ph, Candy Mag, Stylish Magazine, Mega Magazine, and Village Pipol Magazine.

She starred in the web series Bola-Bola in an episode called "Cook. Feed. Love. Repeat." Later, she appeared with Seth Fedelin in the series Dirty Linen. She was also in Zack Tabudlo's music video for "As You Are."

Francine was recognized as the ninth top Filipino YouTube creator in 2022. In 2024, she collaborated with Korean artist Seo In-guk for the song "My Love."
