  • Compendium Annalium Ecclesiasticorum Regni Hiberniæ (published in 1690): This book was a short history of the Church in Ireland. It included a brief description of Ireland and its history. It also had a special letter to Porter from a Jesuit named Francis Echinard, who pointed out mistakes in maps of Ireland. Porter used information from other famous historians like James Ussher and James Ware. The book also included recent history, like details about the siege of Derry and the Patriot parliament in Dublin. Porter believed that certain religious changes had caused many problems in Ireland.
