Francisco I. Madero is a city in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila. It is located in the southwestern part of the state. This area is close to the Durango state border. It is part of an economic region called Laguna.
The city sits at about 1,100 meters (3,609 feet) above sea level. It is the main town, or municipal seat, for the Francisco I. Madero Municipality, Coahuila.

The city is named after a very important person in Mexican history. His name was Francisco I. Madero. He was a hero of the Mexican Revolution. He was born in a nearby town called Parras de la Fuente.
