Frank Giroud (born May 3, 1956 – died July 13, 2018) was a famous French writer. He was best known for creating many popular comic books.
Frank Giroud's Early Life
Frank Giroud was born in Toulouse, France, on May 3, 1956. He studied at a special school called the École Nationale des Chartes. This school teaches students how to work with old documents and history.
His Career as a Writer
Frank Giroud became a talented writer for comic books. He wrote the stories for many different series.
One of his well-known works was Louis la Guigne. The pictures for this comic were drawn by Jean-Paul Dethorey. He also wrote the text for Mandrill, which was drawn by Barly Baruti. Other comics he wrote include Oubliés d’Annam and Azrayen, both drawn by Christian Lax.
In the year 2000, Frank Giroud created a very popular series called Le Décalogue. This series was published by Glénat Editions.
Frank Giroud's work was recognized with an important award. In 2002, he won the Max & Moritz Prize. This award was for being the Best International Writer.
