Franklin Warren "Fritz" Hobbs, born on July 30, 1947, is a famous American rower. He competed in the Olympic Games twice, in 1968 and 1972. Fritz was born in Manchester, New Hampshire. His younger brother, Bill Hobbs, is also a rower.
In the 1968 Olympics, Fritz was part of the American rowing team. They finished sixth in the "eights" event. Four years later, at the 1972 Olympics, his team won a silver medal. This was also in the eights competition.

Early Life and Education
Fritz Hobbs went to Milton Academy, graduating in 1965. After that, he studied at Harvard College and finished in 1969. He then continued his education at Harvard Business School, completing his studies in 1972.
Business Career Highlights
After college, Fritz Hobbs worked for 25 years at an investment banking company called Dillon Read & Co. For the last five of those years, he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). When Dillon Read merged with other companies, Fritz continued to lead. He became the Chairman of UBS Warburg. Later, he moved to Houlihan Lokey and became their CEO.
Fritz has also served on the boards of many large companies. These include Molson Coors and Ally Financial. He also helped guide Harvard University and Milton Academy by serving on their boards.
