He also spent time living in London and studied music there for a year when he was 15. Frans has a younger brother named Casper and a twin sister named Filippa.
Frans first became known for his songs about football. He sang with a band called Elias. In 2006, they released a hit song called "Who's da Man". This song was about the famous Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović. It was so popular that it stayed at the top of the Swedish music charts for 13 weeks!
For Christmas in 2006, Frans had another small hit song called "Kul med Jul" (which means "Fun with Christmas"). In 2008, he released another football song, "Fotbollsfest". This song supported the Swedish national football team and also reached number one on the Swedish charts.
Melodifestivalen and Eurovision Success
After some years away from music, Frans returned in 2016. He joined Melodifestivalen 2016, which is a big music competition in Sweden. The winner of Melodifestivalen gets to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Frans sang his song "If I Were Sorry", which he helped write. He performed it in a semi-final and made it to the grand final. The song was released right after his performance and quickly became very popular. It went straight to number one on the Swedish charts.
On March 12, 2016, Frans won the Melodifestivalen final. He was only 17 years old, making him one of the youngest winners ever! This meant he would represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Stockholm that year. In the Eurovision final, "If I Were Sorry" finished in an impressive fifth place.
