Franzobel is the pen name of an Austrian writer named Franz Stefan Griebl. A pen name, or pseudonym, is a fake name used by an author. He was born on March 1, 1967, in the town of Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria.
Franzobel is a talented writer who creates both novels and plays. He has received many awards for his work. In 2017, his novel Das Floß der Medusa (The Raft of the Medusa) was nominated for the important German Book Prize. Today, he lives and works in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
