Fred De Palma's Music Journey

Starting with Royal Rhymes

Fred De Palma began his music career in 2007 in Turin, Italy. He was very good at freestyling, which means making up rap lyrics on the spot. He won many freestyle contests in Turin and Milan.

In 2010, he teamed up with Dirty C to form a band called Royal Rhymes. They started recording music together. The group signed a deal with Trumen Records, an independent music company. Fred De Palma also kept competing in freestyle battles. He won Zelig Urban Talent in 2011 and came third in the TV show MTV Spit in 2012.

Royal Rhymes released their first album, Royal Rhymes, in November 2011. They followed this with an EP (a shorter album) called God Save the Royal in July 2012.

His Solo Career Begins

In 2012, Fred De Palma started making music on his own. His first solo album, FDP, came out in November of that year.

In 2013, he released a music video for "Passa il microfono." He worked on this song with other famous rappers like Moreno, Clementino, Shade, and Marracash. Later in 2013, he joined a music group called Roccia Music, led by Marracash. He helped create their album Genesi, which included four of his own songs. One of these songs, "Lettera al successo," became the title of his second solo album, released in June 2014.

In December 2014, Fred De Palma decided to leave Roccia Music for personal reasons. In February 2015, he announced he had signed a new deal with Warner Music Italy. With Warner, he released his third album, BoyFred, in October 2015.

Later Albums and Hit Songs

In September 2017, Fred De Palma released his fourth album, Hanglover. Before the album came out, he released popular songs like "Adiós," "Il cielo guarda te," and "Ora che." He worked with many music producers on this album.

In June 2018, he released the hit song "D'estate non vale" with Spanish singer Ana Mena. They worked together again a year later on another summer hit, "Una volta ancora."

Fred De Palma also took part in the Sanremo Music Festival 2024, a big music competition in Italy. He performed his song "Il cielo non ci vuole."
