Frederick Edgar Dinenage, also known as Fred Dinenage, is a well-known British TV presenter and author. He has been on television for almost 60 years! Fred is famous for hosting children's shows like How. He also presented local news for ITV in the south of England. Fred stopped presenting the news for ITV Meridian on December 16, 2021. He had been a news anchor for 38 years.
Early Life and School
Fred Dinenage was born in Birmingham, a big city in England. He went to school at Portsmouth Grammar School.

Fred Dinenage has presented many different TV shows in Britain. Many of these shows were made by companies like Southern Television and Meridian Broadcasting.
Some of the shows he hosted include Tell The Truth. He also presented the popular children's science show How and its follow-up, How 2. Fred also hosted quiz shows like Pass The Buck for the BBC.
News Presenter
Fred started his TV career at Southern Television in 1964. He was a presenter on a children's show called Three Go Round. He worked with actress Diane Keen on this show.
Later, he moved to the local news show Day By Day. He worked as a reporter and presenter. Over time, he focused more on sports news. He hosted a weekly sports section called South Sport.
In 1982, Fred moved to a new TV company called TVS. He continued to be a sports presenter and reporter. He worked on shows like Coast to Coast. The next year, he became the main news anchor for the South edition of Coast to Coast. He presented alongside people like Fern Britton.
After TVS changed, Fred stayed with Meridian. He continued to be the main news anchor for Meridian Tonight. He also presented other local shows. He worked with co-anchors like Natasha Kaplinsky and Sangeeta Bhabra.

She was first elected in 2010. Caroline was the Digital and Culture Minister from February 2020 to September 2021. She is married to Mark Lancaster, Baron Lancaster of Kimbolton.
Fred's son, Chris Dinenage, runs a successful landscaping business. It is called Hambledon Landscapes and is in Hampshire.
