Ted Whitlock Community Center
Inside the park, you'll find the Ted Whitlock Community Center. This big building is 18,000 square feet and has lots to offer. It includes a gymnasium where you can play basketball or other indoor sports. There's also a game room and a billiards room for some friendly competition. The center also has a large room that can be used for parties or events, along with restrooms, one of which even has a shower.
How to Get There

Malabar Road Access

St. Johns Heritage Parkway Access
Another way to get to the park is by using the St. Johns Heritage Parkway. This road helps people from the northwest parts of Palm Bay and Melbourne reach the park. The Parkway will lead you to Malabar Road, which then takes you right to the park.
Why the Park's Name Changed
The park wasn't always called Fred Poppe Regional Park. Before November 2016, it was known as Palm Bay Regional Park. It was renamed to honor a special person named Fred Poppe. He worked for the Palm Bay Parks & Recreation department for a very long time and helped make the parks great for everyone.
